Saturday 15 January 2011, CPR, AED & First Aid Training

Thirty Tarrytown Fire Department Volunteers participated is a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training class given by American Heart instructors Paul T Staiger Sr. and John Roosa. The department is also extremely fortunate to have a number of members who are qualified EMTs.

NFPA standards mandate AEDs to be fitted to any new fire apparatus. Suprisingly the Tarrytown Fire Department currently does not have any AED on any vehicle or at any Firehouse.

Remember always dial 911 in an emergency.
